IBM Phils. develops software to support reading program.

IBM Philippines strengthened its commitment to education by contributing to Rotary International District 3830's "Every Reader a Leader" program its "Reading Companion" software, which allows users to practice pronunciation while acquiring fundamental reading skills.

Special IDs are given to participants to allow them to access Reading Companion on the Web and continue studying on their own.

Developed by IBM with partner schools and nonprofit organizations, the software is for children ages five to seven, and adults who are learning how to read English for the first time.
