Nelson Padilla was always a builder at heart. But before he could fulfill his childhood ambition of constructing whole communities, he first had to spend 15 years as an investment banker. It was only after his firm, an Indonesia-based banking group, ventured into real estate that the "bloody banker"-as he was called by his Indonesian friends-was put in charge of property development.
