MY DESK

In November 2008, Desiree Glapion Rogers was selected by President Obama to serve as the incoming administration's White House social secretary. From her desk in the East Wing, Rogers, a Harvard Business School graduate, plans all of the White House social events, from the annual Easter Egg Roll and pickup basketball games to the First Lady's teas and the official dinners for visiting heads of state.
