THE acting Oyam district Police commander who was arrested over soliciting a sh1m bribe has been released on Police bond and suspended from work until investigations are over.
The officer in charge crime at Lira Police Station, Denis Oola, said Hassan Ali Inziku was released on Friday and his relatives stood surety for him.
"He is supposed to report after one week," he told The New Vision.
Oola said Inziku's case file was sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.
He said they expected the file to return anytime, there after the suspect would appear in court.
