CHILDREN North East welcomes the news that schools will teach children how to prevent violent relationships.
This is part of a Government strategy to prevent violence to women and girls and starts in 2011.
Measures to prevent domestic violence have been overlooked for too long. According to the British Crime Survey in 2008 there were 293,000 reported incidents of domestic violence in England and Wales.
