Gareth Vincent ALAN Tate has done his bit for Mike Ashley by shelling out on a pile of tickets for Swansea City's trip to Newcastle United tomorrow.

Now the lifelong Sunderland fan hopes to upset Newcastle's chairman by helping Swansea to a landmark victory at St James' Park.

Tate has spent a chunk of his wages on ensuring the family, most of whom are Sunderland followers, can watch him play back in his native North East this weekend.

All that is required now is the away victory which would send the Tate clan - plus around 2,800 Swans fans - home happy.
