DM orders probe into crucial road construction project.

BALURGHAT, 29 NOV: The South Dinajpur district magistrate, Mr Ashoke Banerjee ordered a probe into the alleged government rule violations by the Balurghat BDO, Mr Mrinal Kanti Guin, in respect to the road construction project. The SDO, Balurghat has been entrusted with the task of inquiring into the charges, the district administrative officials informed.

It has been learnt from the district administration sources that Rs 18 lakh had been sanctioned for the construction of a pitch road from Dangbirole More, a remote village in the Balurghat block, to the Uttarpara in the same block. The road is assumed to be important in view of its proximity …
