DURGAPUR,29 NOV: A policeman was injured in Mangalkotearea of Burdwanafter being attacked while were trying to rescue a family .of Congress supporters from rioters.

Trouble broke out in Dhanyarukhi~ a trouble-torn area in Mangalkote~ last evening when a group of CPM cadres went on the rampage and allegedly tried to set the house of a Congress supporter, Mr AmarPal on fire. Constable, Mr VirkaBahadurSubba(in SNS photo) sustained severe injuries at the head when the cadres attacked him from the back while he was trying to control the mob. Mr Subba was taken to BurdwanMedical College & Hospital.
