The main vocal concert on the concluding day of Guruguha Sangeeth Sammelans Series at Birla Academy of Arts was by the young Aiswarya Sundaram who elevated the Festival by her mature performance and in the process proved that musical skill of stature is not a matter of youth or age but of Gnanam.
How else could one account for her incredible excellence in the Kamboji suite of alapana, niraval and swaras for it.
It was totally unexpected from one so young. Muthuswami Dikshitars kritis are hard nut to crack and in the series only Dikshitar kritis were rendered.
