ASANSOL, 25 NOV: If education is the key factor that helps in the overall development of an individual, Bengal is not being able to provide proper education to its people. The educational scenario of the Urdu speaking population in Bengal is extremely alarming. Only 11 per cent of the total population of children, who are of a schoolgoing age, are fortunate enough to get enrolment in schools.

The schools which are available, are generally of very poor standard. Thousands of children who seek admission in these schools are disappointed, while those who are fortunate enough to get admission have to attend overcrowded classes where even the voice …
