Section: Government & Politics - The red-shirt group has decided to postpone its planned mass gathering on Saturday indefinitely but will hold a meeting next month to determine a new date.

Meanwhile, the deputy prime minister in charge of national security has reiterated that the government is ready to consider revoking the security law enforcement, should the red-shirt group decide to postpone its rally.

Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said he is evaluating the safety in Chiang Mai to decide whether Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva should attend the annual meeting of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, or TCC, to be held in the province this weekend.
