No students in govt-run primary schools.

KENDRAPARA, 24 NOV: To the utter misfortune of education system in India, several government-run primary schools in this part of the state, have had almost zero student enrolment for the past few years.

This shocking truth is reflected in the record books. However, the blessed teachers of these schools, who have no work to do, have not taken any measures to ensure enrollment of student. They continue to enjoy the luxury of paid holidays. Not a single enrollment has taken place in the past two years.

An estimated Rs 7.5 lakh is drained from the state exchequer per annum towards the salary of these idle teachers.
