HALDIA, 24 NOV: Where state chief minister Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has made it clear that he would go ahead with the industrialisation drive in the state, wage-related labour unrest is continuing unabated at several industrial units in Haldia, one of the industrial showpieces of the state. Citu, the CPI-M's labour union is at the back of these disputes, it was learnt.

The state labour department and the district administration are doin their best to resolve the disputes, but a major section of industries including Mitsubishi, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Haldia Petrochemicals Limited (HPL) and Tata Chemicals in the Haldia industrial belt …
