Section: General News - Chiang Mai police have sought an arrest warrant for a key leader of the anti-government red-shirt group for encouraging Chiang Mai locals to attack the prime minister when he visits the province.

Deputy superintendent of Chiang Mai's Muang district police station, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sawat Largart, today sought the court's approval for an arrest warrant against a key red-shirt leader in Chiang Mai.

Petcharawat Wathanapongsirikul is wanted for allegedly using his community radio to instigate people to attack Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjiava during his visit to the province this weekend.
