Ontario Foods buys Fisher-Price plant. (factory in Medina, NY)

The former Fisher-Price Inc./Mattel Inc. factory in Medina, vacant since the toy maker left last year, will reopen as a distribution and manufacturing hub for Ontario Foods Inc., a food products firm.

Ontario Foods, a division of Genesee Corp., has agreed to purchase the 350,000-square-foot plant on Salt Works Road in the village. Terms were not disclosed, but the sale is expected to close in early October. The deal is expected to receive financial incentives from the Orleans County Industrial Development Agency and the Empire State Development Corp.
