There is a strong local opinion brewing as to why Cornwall Council appears to have been seduced into agreeing to more supermarkets in Wadebridge.

Locals are signing petitions against the proposals, but there seems to be a strong lobby with vested interests carrying more sway.

As a retail business consultant with 25 years experience of similar projects, I believe this is the wrong move for Wadebridge as it will sterilise the heart of the town, as has happened in Padstow.
