LUCKNOW, 10 NOV: The Samajwadi Party was the biggest loser in the 7 November bypolls to 11 Assembly and one Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. The ruling Bahujan Samaj Party bagged nine of the 11 seats. Of the other two, the Congress routed the BJP from the Lucknow West Assembly seat and former BJP leader Mr Ajay Rai contesting as an Independent won from the Kolasla (Varanasi) seat. The Congress' Raj Babbar won the high-profile Firozabad Lok Sabha seat vacated by SP supremo Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav's son Mr Akhilesh Singh Yadav whose wife Dimple was the party candidate.
