It was the 25-member group's first session of "Witness Theater" at the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation. The dramatic journey was designed to retell history through the eyes of World War II victims and third-generation Jews.

The concept: Two generations connect, discuss stories and delve into the traumatic memories of war.

Survivors serve as narrators and students re-enact their experiences using props, music and lighting.
