Section: General News - The Vietnam-Turkey Business Council, which aims to promote bilateral trade, was launched yesterday under the eye of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry(VCCI).
Two-way trade reached nearly US$441 million in 2008, a year-on-year increase of 80 per cent. In the first nine months of this year Vietnam's exports to Turkey hit $187.02 million, including mainly computers, footwear, rubber, electronic devices and wooden products. Imports were valued at $64.5 million and included pig iron, cotton, chemicals, building materials and automobile components.
