South Derbyshire MP Mark Todd is calling for toilets specifically designed for disabled people to be installed in South Derbyshire.
Mr Todd said he would be writing to the district council as well as the owners of tourist attractions in the area in a bid to get improved amenities for disabled residents.
There are currently only five fully-accessible toilets in the East Midlands, including one that was installed in Derby's Westfield Centre earlier this month. There are none in South Derbyshire.
