Somaliland's new Electoral Commissioners was yesterday sworn in at the presidency in Hargeysa at a function attended by the Somaliland President, Dahir Riyale Kahin and the leaders of the two opposition parties.

These Seven new Electoral Commissioners who have been recently endorsed by the Somaliland Parliament have been jointly appointed by the president's ruling party, the two opposition parties and Somaliland Parliament and Council of Elders and are expected to prepare the Region for independent presidential elections.
