Section: Government & Politics - A Senior Public Prosecutor for foreign affairs affirmed that if the ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra seeks refuge in Cambodia, the country's government must immediately extradite the criminal to Thailand.

Mr. Sirisak stated that Thailand and Cambodia had a criminal extradition agreement since 1998. If Mr. Thaksin were to find refuge in Cambodia then the Royal Thai Police (RTP) would be in charge of locating the criminal for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
