Here we go again. Somehow I've developed a sideline specialization in obscure legislation that could have dire effects for IT managers. Keeping up with it is a daunting task.

Two very different pieces of legislation that we have discussed just passed what I had thought would be important milestones, although now I'm not so sure. One, of course, is Article 2B, the proposed amendment on software for the Uniform Commercial Code, which at the end of July was considered by the group of state commissioners that must approve the final draft before it is sent to the state legislatures for enactment.
