Section: Government & Politics - Gen Chavalit Yongchaiyuth, a key member of Thailand's opposition Puea Thai Party, on Wednesday said Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen advised that the two neighbouring countries should withdraw their troops from the disputed area to avoid confrontation and find a joint solution through border talks.

Gen Chavalit made the remarks as he returned from Phnom Penh after a one-day visit at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, whom he described as his "old friend".
