Somerset! Yes, it's a lovely county, full of all manner of surprises. But that's no reason to add an exclamation mark to the frontier road-sign.

Or is the highway department perhaps referring to the fact that Somerset's roads are more hazardous than those found elsewhere? I would concur with that - I happen to believe that the main road from Taunton to Minehead is the most dangerous two-lane highway in the country.
