Over the past 60 years, members of Tampa's Govin family have proven themselves talented in two areas: making rubber stamps and knowing when to get out of business.
Armand Govin proved himself adept at both skills in the 1930s. After moving to Tampa from Cuba. Govin went door-to-door selling custom rubber stamps and blankets. Over the next 50 years, rubber stamps helped Govin build an office supply empire throughout west central Florida. He quickly unloaded the blanket business.
"Actually, I'm not sure how he even got into the blanket business in Florida," said his son, Ron, the company's president and chief operating officer.
