CW75 stock performance.

The CW75 slipped 1.4% for the week ending September 29, in line with broader markets. The Morgan Stanley global composite index fell 1.6%, and the Standard and Poor's 500 decreased 1%. U.S. stocks fell around the end of the week following news from the Conference Board that consumer confidence fell in September from August levels. European shares improved on rising bank stocks.

Basic and specialty chemical stocks were fiat, while diversified chemical shares fell 1.3%. Nineteen companies reported a gain for the week, three were fiat, and 53 fell.

MEMC topped the laggards' list on news that Citigroup downgraded the stock from buy to hold. MEMC's stock traded higher the previous week because of rumors that the company was a take-over target.
