Task force mulling reopening of oil firms' books.

The Department of Energy-Department of Justice Task force is considering looking into the books of oil companies suspected of taking advantage of the calamity in the aftermath of destructive tropical cyclones.

In a press conference yesterday, Acting Justice Secretary Agnes VST. Devanadera said: "We were [talking about] keeping prices at present levels [during Monday's public consultations], but later found out that [Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.] and [Seaoil Philippines, Inc.] increased their prices... We're considering moving to a higher action. We'll move to investigation [on] why they moved their prices, including opening their books." …
