Nearly two full seasons after relocating to Marine Midland Arena, the Buffalo Sabres have leased all 80 suites.

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce recently signed a three-year deal on the last available one.

"Right now, all 80 are leased through the end of next season, the spring of '99," said Mark Stone, director of suite sales and special services for the Sabres and the arena.

Suites at Marine Midland Arena range from $60,000 to $100,000 annually. They have seating for 18 and can be leased over three, five or seven years. Stone said 37 companies initially signed three-year leases and will be up for renewal at the end of the 1998-99 Sabres' season. He said up to half of those suiteholders up for renewal next year have verbally committed to sign on for an extension. The Sabres are also prospecting new accounts.
