Brew pub chain hops to it; Hops Grill & Bar opening 5 new locations in 5 months.

Hops Grill & Bar, a Tampa-based chain of restaurant/brew pubs that made a tentative South Florida entry two years ago, will blitz the market this year with five more openings in the next five months.

First to open - on July 1 if permitting is completed - will be a Plantation unit at the newly renovated Jacaranda Plaza off University Drive and Sunrise Boulevard.

Next will be a South Dade unit scheduled to open Aug. 19 outside The Falls mall at U.S. 1 and Southwest 136th Street, to, be followed a week later by a Pembroke Pines unit outside the Pembroke Lakes Mall at Pines Boulevard and Flamingo Road.
