With a new CEO, newfound profitability and an infusion of $15 million in investment capital, Fort Lauderdale-based Roadhouse Grill has raced into fourth place in the mid-priced steakhouse niche.
After going public in 1993 with 31 restaurants, Roadhouse Grill now owns 45 locations. Half are in Florida, including 14 in South Florida.
Earlier this month, the company said it had received $15 million from Finova Capital Corp. to support growth, including two new restaurants in Morrow, G-A., and Kenner, L.A.
The company estimated it made a $100,000 profit in 1997, after losing $900,000 the previous year.
