Region's largest agency continues expansion

SOUTH SIDE - MARC Advertising is close to buying a Chicago advertising agency. CEO Tony Bucci said he expects the deal to be completed by mid-May.

He declined to name the shop and said the deal was "consuming a lot of time." MARC, the city's largest agency, has billings of $281 million. It made the first step toward realizing Mr. Bucci's goal of building an international agency with the January purchase of Larking Meeder & Schweidel, Dallas' seventh-largest advertising shop.
