Health official halts burn unit inauguration in Raiganj hospital.

RAIGANJ, 1 OCT: The inauguration of a burn unit, which the members of Rogi Kalyan Samity had wanted to inaugurate at the Raiganj district hospital today by the chairman of North Dinajpur Zilla Parishad Mr Moqtar Ali Sardar, had to be halted after a letter from the director of state health sevices, Dr Aniruddha Kar suggested against it. The Congress members of North Dinajpur district suspected the political intervention of CPI-M behind the sudden change of decision and they have decided to launch an agitation against such a directive by Mr Kar.
