KOLKATA, June 16: The state health department has geared up to construct a night shelter in the upcoming Rheumatology Department for the relatives of patients at SSKM Hospital. It is the first time that such a venture has been taken up.
Dr PK Deb, director of the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, said the proposed night shelter would have a capacity to hold more than 50 people.
The night shelter will be located on the first floor of the Rheumatology Department. There is sitting arrangement near the main building for the relatives of patients, with a seating capacity of about 68 people, added Dr Deb. When contacted, …
