Overhead Door plans facility at Austin Ranch, sources say.
FAR NORTH DALLAS - Overhead Door Corp., a Dallas-based maker of garage doors, plans to become the first tenant at Austin Ranch with a 500,000-square-foot build-to-suit facility, industry insiders say.
The new facility will accommodate an expansion of the firm's door distribution center, currently located in a 250,000-square-foot building at the Turnpike Distribution Center in Dallas.
An official at Overhead Door confirmed on Tuesday that the company had decided to build a 500,000-square-foot facility at Austin Ranch by spring 1999, but retracted the statement the next day.
