MINISTRY ORGANISES PROGRAMMES TO RECOGNISE WORLD HABITAT DAY.
from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Housing and Local Government is organising several programmes in conjunction with the World Habitat Day 2009 celebration today, its Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said.
The United Nations has designated the first Monday of October every year as the World Habitat Day to reflect on the state of towns and cities and the basic right of all to adequate shelter.
It is also intended to remind the world of its collective responsibility towards the future of human habitat.
