Russian TV reports success with carrier tests by naval MiG.
The naval version of Russia's MiG-29 fighter jet has successfully landed on the deck of an aircraft carrier, the Russian official state television channel Rossiya reported on 30 September.
In the tests in the Barents Sea, the report noted, the MiG-29KUB made its first deck landing, on the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. "Soon, these MiGs will be put on combat alert duty in Russia," the TV declared. For the moment, they have been bought by the Indian navy, it added.
