FRISCO - Two developers have canceled multimillion-dollar projects near a long-proposed regional mall here -just as mall officials said they were close to signing three anchor tenants.
Iowa-based General Growth Properties Inc. (NYSE: GGP) this week announced that Macy's, Nordstrom and Sears would be anchor tenants at the long-delayed, 1.2 million-square-foot Stonebriar Mall at the Bridges.
Stonebriar Mall is part of Frisco Bridges, a 719-acre masterplanned development.
Prior to the General Growth announcement, two companies that had intended to develop projects in Frisco Bridges abruptly dropped their plans.
