MH providers donate more than $1 million of services for veterans.(Report)

Give an Hour, a national non-profit organization that provides free mental health services to veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and their loved ones, last week announced results of its recent survey, which found a 16 percent increase in services rendered since its last survey in May 2009.

Using a nationwide average payment rate of $100 per hour for mental health services, Give an Hour providers have donated $1,689,500 since the organization began providing these services in July 2007, according to program officials.
