Lawyer Sent to Luzira for Swindling Client's Money.

The disciplinary committee of the Law Council last week committed a lawyer to Luzira Prison and revoked another lawyer's practicing certificate.

The committee headed by Mr Elijah Wante, also the director of Law Development Centre, last week took action against Mr Tom Otim Pule, a lawyer who fraudulently obtained a client's money to purchase land, and failed to refund it.

Mr Pule was sent to civil prison in Luzira after he failed to show sufficient commitment to pay a debt, now amounting to Shs8.6 million he obtained from Mr Muntsar Barakat in 2004.
