Two senior police officers have been transferred in Tana Delta District for ordering a night raid during which villagers were harassed and seriously injured.
Police sources told the Nation that Inspector Anthony Chilimo and Corporal James Odhiambo were deployed to various police stations within the district in a bid to avert a cover up into the saga.
But area police commander Iregi Ngatia said that the transfers were "normal" and were not connected in any way to the night raid.
"They have been moved, but this has nothing to do with the Kipini village incident," he said.
