Unisys Demonstrates Multi-Vendor Interoperability of Iris Recognition Systems.

Unisys [UIS] has developed an integrated platform that enables different types of iris recognition systems supplied by various vendors to work as part of a single system for identification purposes. The development work was done under a Pentagon contract using funds supplied by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In the demonstration Unisys used the IrisAccess iCAM4000 camera supplied by Korea's LG, the LG handheld iCAM H100 prototype camera for mobile applications, the AOptix InSight sensor for standoff identification from two to three meters within a large capture zone, and Global Rainmakers, Inc., HBOX iris on the move system.
