At least 50 people were on Sunday night injured after the bus they were travelling in plunged into a valley on the Kannungu-Rukungiri road in South Western Uganda.

According to the Rukungiri OC Traffic, John Bainomugisha, the accident occurred at 10pm when the driver failed to negotiate one of the many corners on the road, lost control, forcing the bus to plunge into the valley, 15km from Rukungiri Town.
