Plastics makers expect zero growth in sales.

from THE JAKARTA POST -- TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2009 The country's downstream plastics industry expects a flat growth in sales this year on sluggish demand from both domestic and overseas markets, an association says.

With sales in the first half of the year reaching Rp 5 trillion (about (US$500 million) - about the same as compared to the same period last year - full-year sales revenue is expected to reach the same figure as last year, which stood at Rp 10 trillion.

The downstream plastic industry produces plastic packaging for the food and beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
