Heavy on his agenda is a planned expansion at SR Instruments Inc., a City of Tonawanda electronic scale maker.

Siegel is treasurer of the company.

The firm is in the process of annexing 8,000 square feet of adjacent space to its Young Street facility.

"We're effectively doubling the size of the plant," Siegel said.

Plans call for retooling and streamlining the machine line and manufacturing process to compete in a global marketplace.
