Sep. 25--NOTE: This story will be updated. The Menomonie Indians took over sole possession of first place in the Big Rivers Conference with a 23-13 win over the Superior High School Spartans Friday night at Ole Haugsrud Field. The Indians, who outgained the Spartans 363-259 in total yards, improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the BRC.
The Spartans had a two-game winning streak snapped to drop to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in league play. Menomonie dominated the first half, outgaining Superior 214-73 in total yardage while taking a 12-0 lead.
