Tanzania: Rights activists hail ruling on albino killers.

Human rights activists and most members of the public yesterday greeted with jubilation the death sentence High Court Judge Gabriel Rwakibalila handed down to three people accused of killing a 13-year-old schoolboy with albinism.

While Justice Rwakibalila delivered his ruling in a court room in the northwestern part of Tanzania, there was immediate reaction from a section of rights groups as well as politicians and friends of the victims from across the country. Most were of the view that the punishment commensurate with the crime committed and the court had lived up to public expectations.
