eCustoms - change for the better.

While the state-of-the-art "eCustoms" will cut down the level of human contact between importers and Customs personnel, it does not mean that the Royal Brunei Customs and Excise will be less helpful.

Yahya Idris, the Acting Controller of Royal Brunei Customs and Excise, told the Bulletin that his personnel will always be there to assist importers submit their customs declaration online.

The aim of implementing the eCustoms is to develop better customer- focused strategies that would make it easier for traders by reducing unnecessary delays "without compromising some of the key procedures that are required by our law", he said.
