BRIEF: Work beginning on Turnpike's additional lane.

Sep. 15--PLANTATION -- The widening of southbound Florida's Turnpike in Broward County got a three-year head start. Now it's the northbound's side chance to catch up. Work begins today on a $20 million project to add a fourth lane to the northbound turnpike from Peters Road to just north of Sunrise Boulevard, plus build a new Sunrise bridge over the turnpike.
