ViewSonic joins the 19-inch crowd. ViewSonic Corp. of Walnut, Calif., this spring released a 19-inch CRT monitor dubbed the PS790. Based on an Invar shadow mask CRT, the display has an 18-inch viewable image size and features a 0.25mm dot pitch. The monitor has a 1,280-by-1,024-pixel resolution with a refresh rate of 88 Hz. The PS790 also offers SuperClear screen technology, which ViewSonic said improves the display's color fidelity.
